well, it's new year's eve and in a few moments of reflection during these last few hours of 2004, here are a few things i'm pretty sure i will be thinking about in 2005:

emerging church issues (i've been reading "the shaping of things to come" by hirsch and frost with tmann, BJ, and John and it looks like the authors will be with us in Pittsburgh in April)

what does it mean to be a cultural architect and a spiritual environmentalist (my daughter and i will be headed to LA in may to erwin mcmanus' origins experience)

leadership from the heart (i'll be teaching a course this semester at greater works school of ministry)

growing as a lovecat (check out tim sanders book, the lovecat way - you won't be sorry)

the lyrics to U2's "how to dismantle an atomic bomb" (freedom has a scent like the top of a newborn baby's head...)

the story we find ourselves in (our first worship series of the year)

the role of the poet in the teaching ministry of the church (a few paragraphs from "finally comes the poet" by walter brueggemann before the lights go out)
